Privacy Policy

Dreamers Markets LLC ("Dreamers Markets", "we", "us") operates the Dreamers Markets vendor application service via our website (dreamersmarkets.com), our operator portal (portal.dreamersmarkets.com), and the Dreamers Markets vendor mobile app ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the App or apply to one of our markets, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
You give us directly
- Identity & contact: first and last name, email address, phone number, business address.
- Brand & business info: brand name, website, Instagram handle, vendor category, products description, sourcing description, "other" category description, food truck permit number (if applicable).
- Photos: a booth/setup photo and product photos you upload via the vendor app. We use these to evaluate applications and display them on event rosters.
- Compliance acknowledgments: your agreement to our vendor rules and regulations at the time of each application, with a timestamp.
Collected automatically when you use the App
- Authentication tokens: short-lived session tokens we issue after you sign in.
- Push notification token: an Expo push token, only after you grant notification permission. Used to send you status updates and event reminders.
- Device & app metadata: device platform (iOS/Android), app version, IP address from your sign-in requests, and basic user agent strings — used for security (rate limiting, anti-abuse) and debugging.
- Application history: which markets you applied to, which you were approved/waitlisted/rejected for, payment status, and attendance.
Payments
Booth fees are processed by Square. Dreamers Markets does not receive or store your credit card number, CVV, or full bank details. We see only Square's confirmation that an invoice was paid, the amount, and the payment timestamp.
2. How we use your information
- To evaluate and decide on your market applications.
- To communicate with you about your applications, payments, load-in instructions, and event-day reminders — by email, push notification, and in-app messages.
- To populate event rosters that we share with venues for entry, parking, and setup logistics.
- To display your brand name and (with the photo release you accept at signup) your booth photo on event marketing materials and Dreamers Markets' social media channels.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To comply with applicable laws (including California sales-tax, food-safety, and recordkeeping requirements).
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share it only with:
- Service providers that run the technical infrastructure we depend on, under data processing agreements that limit them to acting on our behalf:
- Airtable — vendor records and event data
- Vercel — web hosting
- Postmark — transactional email delivery
- Square — invoice and payment processing
- Expo — push notification delivery (mobile app only)
- Apple & Google — app distribution platforms (you accept their respective privacy policies when you install the App from their stores)
- Event venues — we share approved-vendor rosters (name/brand, booth assignment, contact info) with the venues hosting each market so they can grant entry and assist with setup.
- Legal — when required by law, court order, or to protect our or another person's rights, safety, or property.
4. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@dreamersmarkets.com. You can also delete your profile and request account closure directly from the App's Profile screen. We will respond within 30 days.
California residents: under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the purposes for which we use them, the categories of third parties we share them with, and to request deletion. You may exercise these rights by emailing the address above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
5. Image use & likeness
When you submit an application, you grant Dreamers Markets a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your uploaded booth photo and product photos on event flyers, event rosters, and Dreamers Markets' social media channels (Instagram, website) for the purpose of promoting our markets and the vendors at them. This license is consistent with California Civil Code § 3344 and is governed by the photo release version you accepted at signup, which we keep on file with a timestamp.
You can revoke this permission for future use at any time by emailing us. Previously-published material on third-party platforms (e.g. Instagram posts) may remain visible on those platforms under their own terms.
6. Retention
We retain vendor profiles, application records, and payment records for as long as your account is active, plus the periods required for tax and audit recordkeeping (typically 7 years for financial records). Audit logs of status changes are retained indefinitely for dispute resolution.
7. Security
We protect your information with HTTPS in transit, hashed session tokens at rest, single-use magic-link sign-in codes, rotating refresh tokens, and least-privilege access controls. We never store passwords (we use magic-link sign-in). If a security incident affects your data, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.
8. Children
The Dreamers Markets vendor app is intended for adults running small businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International users
Dreamers Markets is a Southern California-based business and primarily serves vendors in the United States. Your data is processed and stored in the United States.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will update the "Effective" date above. Material changes that affect how we use existing data will be announced by email and in-app notification before they take effect.
